Tratos Ltd CEO steps up to Vice-President role at Italian Chamber of Commerce
Tratos Ltd CEO Maurizio Bragagni has stepped up to a Vice-President role for the Council for Management Board at the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK (ICC) with a remit to help build a closer bond between the two countries.
Dr Bragagni joined the board two years ago, just a year after receiving the ICOC’s Keynes Sraffa Award for his ongoing commitment to promoting greater co-operation between Italy and the UK.
In the new role he is one of two vice presidents with responsibilities across the industrial sector.
Tratos, an innovation-led cable manufacturer, has bases in the UK and Italy and offices across the world. The company has made significant investment in the past four years in its UK manufacturing infrastructure in Knowsley. The company is dedicated to innovating business for growth alongside pure product innovation.
Dr Bragagni, said: “I am delighted to take on this new role within this incredibly dynamic organisation. There are around 600,000 Italians working in the UK. Dr Bragagni has also been a keen and active supporter of the drive for constitutional reform in Italy. In the past he has brokered introductions between British-based businesses and the former Italian Senate President (2001–2006), Senator Marcello Pera, who told a gathering in London that the key to the country’s stability and growth lay with well-executed change.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce based in London was founded in 1886. More than 130 years later, the association continues to grow with branches in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester.
Tratos is one of Europe’s largest independent cable manufacturers. The company has manufacturing facilities in Italy and the UK, employing people around the world producing electrical, electronic and fibre optic cable solutions.
